  • Eye protection important

More than 50,000 people suffer sports-related eye injuries each year according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. The sports most hazardous to your eyes are basketball, baseball, swimming and racquet sports.

To protect your eyes during sports activities, protective eyewear is available with prescription or non-prescription lenses. Consult your optometrist when selecting eyewear to make sure it is appropriate for your sports activities.
